In this issue of Mode, I hope you are inspired by our Business Success and Direct Sales articles. They include motivational stories about Habitat for Humanity International’s “Women Build” program where women are taught to build houses and communities that are “safe, decent, and affordable” for low-income families around the world. On a lighter note, you’ll learn how stand-up comedian gone entrepreneur, Sara Blakely, built a multi-million dollar company from a simple idea that helps women feel confident and look good.

     This issue also brings attention to some environmental concerns with high levels of air pollution at the upcoming Olympics in Beijing and pharmaceuticals that are found in our water supply. These articles are meant to build awareness about issues surrounding our environment, and encourage you to make decisions that will have a positive effect on our Earth.
